Michael Becotte | American, 1945 -

Michael Becotte studied photography with Nathan Lyons, receiving his MFA in 1972 through the Visual Studies Workshop, Rochester, NY.  He received two National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships, and his photographs are in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, George Eastman Museum, Seattle Art Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, National Gallery of Canada and the National Museum of American Art, Washington, D.C. 

His work has been exhibited in numerous solo shows, including exhibitions at the Rhode Island School of Design, Bard College, Blue Sky Gallery, and the George Eastman Museum of Photography.

In 2011, he became a Professor Emeritus at Tyler School of Art, Temple University.
