D. J. Ruzicka was a founding member of the Pictorial Photographers of America and one of the most noted of the salon exhibitors in the years following World War I. His photographs of New York, in particular Pennsylvania Station, are among the most beautiful images of the city. His photographs are in the collections of numerous institutions including; The Museum of Modern Art, The George Eastman House, and The J. Paul Getty Museum.
